Letter #17: Happy November!

Hola Everyone! Another week has come and gone and somehow it's November...I can't even believe it! It feels like just yesterday that I was getting ready to leave for Ecuador, and now it's been a year?! It kind of scares me sometimes, to think that the time is just slipping through my fingers. It's a little overwhelming. Sometimes as I'm riding my bike down a big hill and I can see all of our area, all of the houses and all of the cars, full of hundreds and thousands of people, and it's overwhelming because as a missionary you just want to help every one of them. You can tell that each one is your brother or your sister and you just want to help every single one. And even though it's not really possible to help all of them in one day, we find who we can, we rescue who we can. It's easy to feel discouraged and it's easy to feel like we don't make a difference, but sometimes it hits like a hammer on my head that God is not a pessimist, and that if I start where I am, use what I have, and do what I can it will be enough. I love you all and cherish your support and your love. Make a special effort this week to stay optimistic and positive about things and believe in the influence you can have as a child of God!- "While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen, for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal."
con mucho amor,
Hermana Clawson
